Uluru

We have been fortunate enough to see Uluru twice, once in 2017 and again in 2021. It was always a place I hoped to visit so seeing it twice before I turned 30 was such a great experience.
Uluru is an iconic natural wonder located in Australia’s Red Centre, located approximately a 6 hour drive from Alice Springs. There are so many reasons to visit Uluru including its cultural significance and natural beauty. However if you have the time this its worth taking a few days to explore the other iconic locations including Kata Tjuta “The Olgas” and Kings Canyon.
Places to Stay
Ayres Rock Resort Campground - both times we have traveled we were camping and Ayres Rock Campground is the perfect spot.
You need to book sites in advance as they do sell out! However there is an overflow paddock, if the sites are booked out.
The campgrounds are as close as you can get to the National Park entrance.
There's also a number of hotels including: Sails In The Desert, Desert Gardens Hotel & ‎Outback Hotel & Lodge
Before you leave Alice Springs I would recommend organising food and supplies in town otherwise, Yulura has a local supermarket and couple of cafes and restaurants.
Some things to do:
Photography, Hiking, Biking, Helicopter experience, Tours, Field of Lights, Sound of Silence
Please note: there is no camping in the National Park!
A park pass can be purchased at the gate or online for Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park.
This trip is truly an experience, allowing visitors to connect with the land, culture, and history of Australia's Red Centre in a way that few other places can provide.
